What is the Y2K aesthetic?

Y2K style is late-90s/early-2000s design optimism — chrome, blob shapes, terminal fonts, low-res everything — revived by people who mostly weren't there. Our corner of it skips the shiny sincerity and keeps the artifacts: typewriter mono, title cards, deep-fried texture.
